Curiosity can grow into care.
This is the institutional website of The Guardians of the Earth Foundation ETS: here you will find our mission, projects, documents and ways to participate. Tartarughe di Terra and Tartarughe d’Acqua are the Foundation’s editorial projects: distinct spaces for learning about animals with different characteristics and needs.
This connection does not require you to read everything or support the project financially. You can begin with a curiosity and explore it; if you wish, you can then discover the commitment behind this vision.
Tartarughe di Terra
Discover tortoises, their behaviour and their relationship with their habitat. A natural-history journey also drawing on experience with Testudo hermanni, making room for observation, wonder and responsibility.
Tartarughe d’Acqua
A pathway devoted to freshwater turtles and understanding their environments. Different species and settings require specific content: guidance for a tortoise does not automatically apply to an aquatic turtle.

Public education helps us ask better questions; the Sanctuary shows how we try to turn a culture of respect into practical responsibility. Not every observation is research, and not every idea is an activity already under way: we want this distinction to be clear.
