To agree on a specific use for your contribution, write to us before making the payment. Donating is a voluntary act in support of care; it does not purchase services, confer statutory status or grant access to the Sanctuary.

Supporting an Italian Third Sector entity may qualify for tax relief under Italian law. The value of the choice remains tangible: part of your business’s resources supports the Foundation’s mission.
For businesses and entities, the deduction under Article 83 of the Italian Third Sector Code can be up to 10% of total declared income. The reference is income, not turnover. A deduction reduces the taxable base on which tax is calculated: it does not subtract the entire donation from the tax due.
How tax relief may affect the cost.
Assume a company subject to Italian corporate income tax (IRES) at 24%, a fully deductible donation and sufficient income to use the relief in the same tax period.

The Foundation receives €1,000. The donation is not free. This is an illustration, not a tax calculation for your business: it assumes compliance with the requirements and deduction limit, and does not account for IRAP, special regimes or other individual circumstances.
A useful conversation before you donate.
Discuss the amount, tax period and applicable treatment with your accountant. Use a traceable payment method and keep the payment records and details of the recipient organisation. For donations to the Foundation, ask us for the information needed to verify the statutory requirements: RUNTS registration does not replace this assessment.
If you donate as an individual, subject to Italian legal requirements, you can choose between a 30% personal income tax (IRPEF) credit on donations up to €30,000 and a deduction of up to 10% of total declared income. These two benefits cannot be combined for the same donation. Which is more suitable depends on your tax situation.

Is there a minimum donation?
Bank transfer contributions are freely chosen; online donations are subject to the amounts accepted by the Donorbox form. No threshold makes anyone more or less of a Guardian.
What does becoming a Guardian mean?
Here, “Guardian” expresses a shared ideal and a choice of responsibility. It is not a statutory status automatically granted by a donation.
Can I visit the Sanctuary after donating?
To preserve the animals’ peace, visits and public access are not currently planned. We do, however, want to share their daily lives: we are designing an audiovisual system for watching selected moments from a phone or computer, at designated times and with respect for people and the location. We will announce arrangements and timing when it is ready. Close to their lives, respectful of their space.
Can I symbolically adopt a tortoise?
Symbolic adoption is not active. You can already support the mission with a voluntary contribution, without linking it to an individual animal.

The Transparency and Project Update sections contain available documents, confirmed information and objectives clearly distinguished from results. For specific enquiries, you can write to the Foundation.
